my grandad

Yay me

Sucess is relative, if you feel you have suceeded in something then you have, it doesn't matter if people see it as not a big thing :)

Well anyway I was out last night until 1am oh yes, me boring little Em and the 1am!!!

And it was a good night, people made me laugh and not always at my own expence, a couple of people kept checking I didn't want to go home, I'm not sure if Iwas yawning a little too much for their liking :)

Anyways, I gonna print some pictures off for my grandad cos I gonna go to leicester to see him today :)

cornetto

I am eating a cornetto, I like cornetto's a lot I eat probably 6 a fortnight :)

I am trying to do as much as I can to put off cleaning out the rabbit, not cos I find it difficult or manky but I just cannot be bothered. I just want to sit, thats it. I'm looking for a comfy chair but was disappointed that search for the most "comfortable chair in the world" gave me nothing of any use and in fact very few chairs, none of which looked at all comfy. Google therefore has let me down.

Finshed my cornetto, lots of chocolate in the bottom :)

Funny old days

Morning all, I've just finished work well an hour ago.
My car is making a very loud noise when I steer right, I think my wheel bearing is going. I'm off to the garage to get it looked at tomorrow. I love my garage, I ring them and they always say we'll have a quick look tomorrow and sort it from then and they have fixed all my faults no problems :)
I had a busy old day but got loads done, read some of a report by RSA on the current drugs legislation and why it should change, it was an interesting read although some of my collegeues disagreed on how interesting it was!!!
I just rang my grandparents to wish them a happy 55 wedding anniversay. 55 year, 55, 55! My grandad is poorly, he has cancer and isn't looking good but is amazing, he's full of life and seems to have no fear of death he says he knows wheres he's going and is looking forward to meeting him.
Mucho respect for my grandad!

Lovely lady at Asda

I was at asda this morning and all the multi vitamins had sold out (flip). Then I spied one tub on the discount shelf and although there was no price on it I thought that'll do. Then a lovely Asda staff lady who was working in that bit came and offered to scan the price for me, 50p then we got into a discussion about how just because they change the packaging they have to sell of old stock, then she pointed out there was another tub there so I had both. I thanked her lots cos a good few people now a days would have just stood and watched me or pretended I wasn't there but she chose to help. Made me feel all warm and cosy inside.

Anyways fencing, I need to get a new fence in me garden, but who do you find a reliable fencer, so many horror stories on telly about dodgy workmen it feels like I need to hold interviews and as to see their CRB check. :)

I'm going work tomorrow, 9 consecutive days off in a row and a few minutes ago I got my diary out to look at the week ahead. I'd forgotten how much I have to do but it keeps me busy and out of mischief :) my little old head will have to get back into action now but then easter and some bank holiday days are only 3 weeks away.

The cats will be pleased to have the house back to themselves!!!

holiday

I've had a week off work and it's been lovely, the first few days were very hectic, we had Leah for a night, me mum and Baz came to visit on Sunday night (KFC was lovely), Monday was Jeantette's birthday (remember the house decorating http://http://3catsandarabbit.blogspot.com/2007/03/great-house-tackyness.html)

So it wan't until Tuesday that me and Laine started to calm down, I finished my CBT coursework, bike ride round coombe abbey, Mcmahons for tea (Bangers and mash)

Wednesday a big garden tidy up

Thurs half a day with lorraine, bike ride round the roads

Friday Asda in the morning, cleaning in the day and War memorial park for a bike in the afteroon. NEW RABBIT HUTCH

Today has been fab another bike ride and a bit of quality time with Pete and Lorraine in their caravan, nice dinner and tea, time in the sunshine in the garden and a quick trip into town.

One more day then back to the routine of work:
168 hours in a week 25 % of them at work (counting travel time)
33% of the time asleep
43 % left to play, eat, do chores and talk to people :)

Yay that 43%

My long term plan is to reduce the work percentage to as low as money will allow :)

See how happy

See how happy rabbit is in his new house, he hasn't stopped smiling since yesterday.

sun

It's sunny in Coventry and I love the sun. I don't like sunbathing mainly cos I don't see the point :) but I like being out and pottering around in the sun.

Last night was cominc relief, 40 million raised, blimey thats a lot of money. I really wanted to see nan and Noel on Deal or No Deal but I feel asleep and didn't wake up again until Moses jumped on my head at 8am. This is Moses, as you can see he is the clever one :)

my title!

Believe it or not this is my full name as I am allowed to write it. The worlds gone mad!

Emma Walker BSc(Hons), Dip CBT,MOC,MSFTR

and I still hate the telephone!

What day is it?

Back to the sleep thing, I lose track quickly when I miss a bit.

I think today is Tuesday, I'm almost positive! Laine and I went to Coombe Abbey today for a bike ride it was fun, nature always wins, always pulls something out of the hat to amaze me, here's my fav pic from Coombe. Leaves still not out but just looked fantastic! :)
Net's birthday went really well. Although Laine and I were a little sleepy and my snotty nose wasn't helping.
The posters and decor made sure everyone she saw that day wished her a happy birthday :)
We got her in the car (full of balloons) locked the doors and drove her to fosse park where we dined in Druckers and then helped her pick something out at Next. Followed by family and friends being at her house for chips.
There was no way in this world we were going to let the day pass by quietly and I have a feeling Jeanette knew that from the moment she stept outside her front door :)
oh and the best bit, me laine Leah and Net in a photo booth :) :)

BAZZA'S A BIT MORE THAN 40

Not to be forgotten, it is also Baz, my step-dad's birthday today, we ain't 40 :0

Here's him!!

the great house tackyness

Laine's sister Net is 40 today. So we had to make it special :)

At 1pm Laine and myself left our nice warm, cosy house to venture into the cold dark night and stick childhood pictures of her everywhere and big sheets on her house.

This took a shocking amount of time, remember we left at 1pm, see my watch on the picture below when we returned!
For those that can't read it it says 2.35am

Can I remind you of my last pst, I love my sleep!!!

Here's the house

See Laine, creeping. All in all about from sleep deprivation it was a laugh and I think it will make Jeanette feel all warm and lovely inside! :)

sleep and Pizza Hut

I love my sleep! I consider a good sleep to be between 8 and 10 hours. In my opinion 7 hours in only just a bit more than a nap! So when Elaine and Leah got up at 6am after I had only gone to bed at midnight I did my best to ignore them. Then when they were singing "happy birthday Kwala" http://www.uptoten.com/kids/boowakwala-birthday-kwala2004-birthdaysongkwala.html
at 7.30am I was still trying to remain asleep, but when they came upstairs at 8am and said "what time are you getting up" I admitted defeat.

Good morning Sunday, I now need to find ways to entertain an eight year old :)
(I'm taking her to my mate Ellie's so that will keep her happy for a bit, then me mum and Baz are here so really I have deligated the task)

Oh and went to Pizza Hut last night, it was absolutely lovely!!!! I will be going again!!!!

Missed my chance

I may have mentioned my garden :) I love it, I grew up in the country and my garden is my own little bit of outsideness. Elaine lets me get on with it and unless I want to do something drastic if she has somewhere to sit in the sun shes happy :)

One day last week I saw on ebay a really fab table and chairs (weell 4 benches) for my garden. BUT it was before payday and unlike my normal self I was not impulsive and thought I'd wait until I had more pennies when more would come up and I would buy one then.

The only thing is I haven't seen another one like it. I am mucho disappointed!

omlette

Up bright and early (ish) after a meal out for Net's birthday, 40 this year whooo hooo!

Went to church, communion is always a good day to go! Came home and watched Megs on the eye toy, very not impressed with the spiders. I found myself finding the bubbling of the fish one quite theraputic :)

Cleaned out the cats and the rabbit, the cat's I can do without but it's nice spending that quality time with Rabbit, each time I try and do something or turn around there he is in my way, try and entice him away with a bit of sweetcorn and he looks at me like I'm stupid.

Not sure if you will be able to see this but this is Rabbit after I had thrown some straw on him, he wasn't impressed!!

Then Laine wanted some pennies so I nipped to the co-op on me bike, I under estimated the strength of the rain and got very wet, lady next door was surprised to see me on a bike never mind in the middle of a downpour.

Then came home and ...................................

Made the perfect omlette, eggs, cheese (sliced) and tomaoto (sliced) Cooked in frying pan and finished in the grill, please show respect for my perfect omlette!!!!

Painting Breeze Block

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AS A HOBBY!

The end of my garden is a large breeze block garage. To try and make it look a bit nicer we have recently had some doors put on it. This weekend I decided to give it a lick of paint. No one warned me about painting breeze block!

It was so boring and I have a blister on my painting finger, I'm grateful I don't have to do that too often.

See the before and after pics. My plan was to sand and paint the wood at the top as well but rain stopped my playing :)

Lorraine's birthday

Lorraine happy birthday for Feb 27th.

Elaine let me pick the present we bought.

So we bought her a gnome, not just any gnome a forest gnome I feel bad I did not get a photo of him so here is a stand in!

management badminton and a sore thumb

I am a manager, I played badminton today and I have a sore thumb.

Still in my head I consider myself medioca I guess, quite good at some things, pretty good at a couple but diabolical at a few :) Yet I find myself a manager, how did that happen and how can it be right?
Don't get me wrong put me in my work envirnoment and I can hold my own but sat here at the puter in my jimjams I wonder how it all happens.

My thought for this week involves nails, finger nails to be presice. What I am amazed about is that what we eat/drink somehow through numberous processing becomes finger nail and my left thumb nail is pretty tough so not only a nail but a solid substance.

I am a chemist, well I seem to have acheived a chemistry degree somewhere in my past and it means I often feel amazed at how the variation in a few electron neutrons and protons is the only differnece between myself and well a tree. No just that but the spin of the electron matters!

Then we talk about ozone and the greenhouse effect, now I know a massive part of that is free radicals, one little nippy electron making such huge difference. It's a wow thing.

I am also a christian, baptised oooooooo in 2002 and the more I try to understand the world around me the more wow I feel about GOD. One of my favourite psalms in the bible is 131. Which in in says
"I am not concerned with great matters or with subjects too difficult for me"
I sometimes forget that I am the clay pot and GOD the potter, or in my early days as a christian how I understood it, I am the amoeba trying to do a jigsaw :)

So anyways I don't need to get exactly how my fingernails got here or why I just have to chill :)

More importantly see the picture of my first full white camilia flower this year!

About Me

Pottering through life :)
